Ansonia Connecticut’s 4 piece melodic death metal band, Lightsbane, have announced that they will go on an indefinate hiatus. The news comes as a shock to the local metal community and the band will be sorely missed at regional venues. They plan to continue writing new music with hopes to again return to the scene in the not so distant future.
Would you be so kind, as to let me rant a little while?
Nowadays, it seems like everyone is a critic. Everybody has something to say about other people’s creation. They think that because they listen too, or even make music, they can judge what others create.
“I would have done this or that different!”
“I wouldn’t have used that instrument there!”
The truth is, for what it’s worth, they have NO idea what they’re talking about!
For about a week now I had some issues with login but, I have resolved them. I am testing out a new app for my android to see how effective it is for me.

MetalCage Re-Launch

After a little over a year’s absence, I’d like to Re-Launch TheCage. I had moved south for a while and could not bring myself to falsely report on local New England bands and events.
I apologise to those who submitted tracks for the New England Black Metal Compilation and would still like to pick that back up and release the album. I’ll be contacting those involved to get their feedback.
